I’m Mia Rossi, a photographer based in New York City, I’m currently pursuing a BFA in Photography at Parsons School of Design, where I’m developing a fine art practice rooted in conceptual inquiry, materiality, and documentary observation.
My work moves between the studio, the street, and the stage. I blend a documentary approach with a focus on texture, atmosphere, and the energy of lived experience. Whether photographing the quiet erosion of urban surfaces or the chaos of a concert crowd, my work is rooted in observation and presence. I’m drawn to overlooked details, fleeting moments, and the ways both environments and people write and rewrite themselves over time. Through photography, I investigate memory, material, and the tension between permanence and impermanence across public and personal space.
I’ve worked professionally as a freelance photographer since 2019, with experience in concerts, live events, editorial, and sports. I’m a published sports photographer, an Echo Valley Choice Award winner, a two-time American Vision Nominee, and a Gold Key Award recipient from the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. My work has been exhibited in New York and Pennsylvania, and I founded Rossi Photos in 2021.
